RENTON COIL SPRING ESTABLISHED

RCS opens it's doors a few blocks away from The Boeing Company headquarters in Renton Washington.

1979

TITANIUM SPRINGS

RCS pioneers the development of Beta-C Titianium as a spring material, alongside Boeing and McDonald Douglas.

1998

iso 9001 certification

Renton Coil Spring's quality management system earns ISO 9001 certification.

1999

RELOCATED TO CURRENT FACILITY

RCS upgrades to a new 46,000 square foot facility, just blocks away from the original location.

2006

motorsport expansion

RCS expands into the performance market to provide cutting edge applications for racing enthusiasts and all types of high performance motorsports.

2015

mro certification

Renton Coil Spring Company earns certification form the FAA as an approved MRO facility.

Chuck Pepka 
CEO 

Chuck is the owner of Renton Coil Spring Company and a third generation spring designer and manufacturer.  He is a recognized leader in the design and development of titanium springs for the aerospace and performance racing industries.  Chuck has co-authored 7 technical papers related to spring design and titanium springs, and is a regular contributor to Springs Magazine.

Andy Knebel III
COO
 

Andy has been at RCS since 1978.  His specialties include new materials, experimental parts, and process improvement. In his previous roles as a tool and die maker and shop foreman, he  has developed a strong understanding of what is done and what can be done to develop high performance springs.  Andy serves on the advisory committee at Renton Technical College.

Todd Lantz
VP of Production


Todd has been at Renton Coil Spring since 1988. He is in charge of all production teams, and oversees the complete processing of all manufactured parts. Todd also coordinates and maintains all aspects of personnel issues, preparation and delivery of annual reviews, salary forecasting and performance documentation up to and including corrective action of any policy violation.

AUTO-COILING JOURNEYMAN


RCS is seeking a journeyman level automatic spring coiler.  Applicant must have experience with single-point CNC, and mechanical 1, 11, 12, and 125 size machines (.006"-.275").  Must be competent producing torsion, compression, and extension style springs.  Experience with wire forming quill type machines is a plus.  

We are a lean shop (typical runs are 20 to 500 parts), so experience with standardized setup and quick changeovers is required.  

A minimum of 5 years of setup experience is required.  Compensation is at the top end of the pay scale for this position and a relocation package will be considered for a qualified individual.


SHIPPING CLERK


To enhance Renton Coil Spring's ability to provide the best in Customer Satisfaction by having a well-trained, productive work force and maintain high quality standards, it's necessary to have our final products shipped in a timely manner accordingly to our customer's requirements.

Although we will outline some specific duties for the role, this position is progressive and will be altered over time.  Our overall goal is to work with our shipping lead to ensure quality parts are being sent to our customers and that they meet all their requirements.  Shipping should also play a proactive role with production to serve as the final set of eyes prior to shipment.  This is a non-exempt position and employees will be eligible for over-time pay.


ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

We are seeking a highly motivated Administrative Support individual to join our Customer Service team. This individual ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders, communication, and coordinating with other departments to resolve inquires. This role supports the Account Manager and Quoting and Sales departments. Ideally, this individual would have impeccable attendance and would be available for overtime as needed to support the needs of the sales team.
